Here we are at the end of 2017! How did that happen so fast? With a blink of an eye, another year has flown by at lightening speed! I am sure you feel the same way, and that is why it’s so important to take a moment to stop, and reflect on these last 12 months. It is important to celebrate your successes, decide on the things that are no longer serving you and plan what you want to create in 2018 and most importantly, chose who you want to be in order to create the life you want for this next year. You are not getting any younger baby! This I know for sure! So, let’s not waste time or procrastinate on truly living life.
So, this is exactly what we did on my Yoga + Detox + Self Care Retreat over Thanksgiving (Click here to see some of the amazing photos). Fourteen beautiful souls from around the globe and all ages and stages in life, gave them themselves the gift of 3 days to simply BE. With twice daily Yoga and Meditation practices, Delicious High Vitality Food, wonderful Healing Treatments, Deep Rest and time in Nature, we pondered the following questions:
We did this as a group and shared our answers with each other, then we chose 3 key words that would define who we would CHOSE to be in 2018. For example, I chose the words “FOUNDATION, FUN AND FEARLESS”. Others chose “ORGANIZED, RELAXED, CONNECTED” and the list went on.
Then, on our own we wrote a Love Letter to Our Selves, congratulating ourselves on our successes and committing to letting go what was no longer serving us in the life that we want. Then, we wrote what we are going to manifest in 2018 (watch out world, there are some big things coming!!) and who we chose to become in order to achieve our goals. Those 14 amazing letters are right here on my desk to be mailed out in time to be received before the New Year. A Love Reminder of who can really be, when we give ourselves a moment to truly let go and tap into our potential and our higher selves. It was powerful!
So, I invite each and every one of you to block out sometime soon, do it now, open your planner or phone and block some time to get quiet and do this simple, profound exercise, before you get swallowed by the Christmas rush. Do it for you.
